April supports the Document Freedom Day
Document Freedom Day is a day dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of using open formats.
Aprils celebrates the Document Freedom Day and stresses the importance of truly open formats for digital documents. These formats allow citizens, consumers, governments and companies to use software of their choice while maintaining long term control over their documents and data.
We encourage everyone to raise awareness amongst their relatives about the importance of open standards. In particular, following French local elections, we encourage citizens to inform their elected representatives about the importance of Free Software and open standards for local communities by forwarding them the awareness booklet.
